The 2012/13 UEFA Champions League was the 58th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organized by UEFA. The competition began on 18 August 2012 with the first qualifying round and concluded on 25 May 2013 with the final at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Dortmund 2–1 in the final to win their fifth Champions League title.
A total of 76 teams participated in the competition, with 22 teams entering in the group stage and the remaining 54 teams entering in the qualifying rounds. The group stage draw was held on 30 August 2012, with the 32 teams divided into eight groups of four teams each. The top two teams in each group advanced to the knockout phase, which began on 12 February 2013.
The knockout phase consisted of two-legged ties, with the away goals rule in effect. The final was a single match played at a neutral venue. Bayern Munich defeated Borussia Dortmund 2–1 in the final to win their fifth Champions League title.
